Reptiles and birds
In the past, almost all kinds of reptiles were found roaming freely in this area. King Cobra, Indian Cobra, King Cobra, Python, Chēnathandan, Viper, Vellachatti, Komberi, Green Vine Snake, Russell’s Viper, Black Snake, and Rat Snake, among others, were commonly found here in earlier times. With the increase in human population, these reptiles migrated to the forests, but most species of reptiles can still be found in this area even today.
In earlier times, birds such as the Eagle, Crow Pheasant, Parrot, Myna, Wagtail, Bulbul, Cuckoo, Spotted Dove, and Malamuzhakki Bird were commonly seen here. Although many of them moved into the forests with the expansion of human habitation, several of these birds still visit the area from time to time, making their presence known and returning after revisiting their former habitats.
